As you may have noticed, this blog project is in archive mode. We enjoyed sharing with you. Maybe we'll try again one day.

An Open Letter to John Warnock

Andrei Herasimchuk is a designer who's work we have all seen and use on a day to day basis. He was one of the first official Interface Designer hired by Adobe to work solely on the user interfaces of Adobe Photooshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. He knows his stuff and we can all be grateful for that!

He has recently resurrected his blog, Design by Fire, (and with a fine design, I might add), and today I found this posting titled An Open letter to John Warnock. If that really did happen, I can say that that would be a reveolutionary thing! As a web designer, I can attest that Arial, Verdana, and Times are getting old! Really old! sIFR is great, but it only goes so far. To have a core set of fonts that was expanded from what we have now, and something that would be as versatile as the ones listed, even if it was not those exact ones, would be terrific!
